Jet Charter Philadelphia arranges charter flights for humanitarian and relief operations, working from Philadelphia and Pennsylvania out to wherever the need is. These trips come together quickly, and the aircraft is rarely the hard part. The ground arrangements and the paperwork usually are.
We arrange both sides of a relief operation. Passenger aircraft move medical teams, engineers, assessors and evacuees. Cargo aircraft move supplies, generators, water treatment equipment and shelter materials, and a full aircraft can be chartered for the load alone.
Group size changes the rules
Up to nineteen passengers, these trips run under FAR Part 135, the FAA’s rules for on-demand, for-hire charter. Above nineteen, the aircraft required would fall into regional airliner, or airliner-size, and the flight would no longer fall under the FAR Part 135 standards but possibly operate under FAR Part 121 or foreign equivalent standards. Part 121 and equivalent generally carry stricter crew and operating requirements than FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135.

International legs
On international routes, operators must meet the equivalent safety standards of the country of operation. Landing permits and authorizations are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities. We will always do our best to ensure departure and arrival times meet your needs, but these are sometimes subject to the approvals of the local airport authority and government.

- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
