When Light Jets Fit the Philadelphia Trip

Winter is the one that catches people out. De-icing takes time on the ramp before an aircraft can depart, and a January departure can sit longer than the same trip in June. Summer brings thunderstorms that move through the corridor quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches both ahead of your date and will call you before you call us.

Airport choice matters more here than in most markets. Northeast Philadelphia (KPNE) is the default for charter, with a 7,000-foot runway and a tower open from six in the morning until eleven at night. Philadelphia International takes anything up to airliner size. New Castle (KILG) suits the southern side of the region, Trenton-Mercer (KTTN) the north, and Chester County (KMQS) at Coatesville is closest to the Great Valley and Malvern corridor.
