Who we are
Jet Charter Philadelphia arranges private charter flights across Pennsylvania and the wider tri-state area, and we run it from an office in the Philadelphia suburbs. Our headquarters is on Skippack Pike in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, the same town as Wings Field Airport (KLOM). We have been arranging flights out of these airports since 2012.
Most of what we do is straightforward. You tell us where you need to be and when. We go and find the aircraft, we confirm who is operating it, and we stay with the trip until you are on the ground at the other end.
What we arrange
On-demand private charter is the core of what we do: one aircraft, one trip, confirmed with the operator, and we handle every detail from the FBO to the destination. We also arrange:
- Group and corporate charter for companies, sports teams, and large parties
- Aircraft sales and acquisition for clients considering ownership
- Aircraft management for existing aircraft owners
- Air cargo charter for time-critical freight
- Non-emergency medical transport for passengers who need medical support on board
Choosing a Philadelphia airport
Six airports around Philadelphia take jets. The choice between them usually has more effect on your drive at one end than on the flight itself.
Northeast Philadelphia (KPNE) is the general aviation reliever for the metro and the default for most charter trips, with a 7,000-foot main runway, a tower staffed around the clock, two FBOs, and customs available 24 hours with prior permission. Philadelphia International (KPHL) takes anything up to airliner size on a 12,000-foot runway, which is the right answer when the trip needs that scale. New Castle (KILG), near Wilmington in Delaware, offers a 24-hour, manned tower and customs on the south side of the region, and it suits Delaware County and southern Chester County. Trenton-Mercer (KTTN) in New Jersey puts you on the north side, with customs officers inside the FBO. Chester County (KMQS) at Coatesville is the closest jet field to the Great Valley and Malvern corridor. Atlantic City (KACY) covers the shore.
Wings Field, Brandywine, Doylestown, Quakertown, Pennridge, Heritage Field, South Jersey Regional and Flying W all take piston and light turboprop aircraft, and for the right trip several of them will put you closer to home than any of the jet fields.
We will recommend the appropriate airport when we present the first quote. If you give us the address you are starting from or heading to rather than just the city, we can get you closest to where you actually need to be. In this region that changes the answer.
The rest of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia is our home base, but it is not the whole market we cover. We arrange flights into and out of Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Hershey, the Lehigh Valley, Lancaster and York, Reading, and Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. Each of those has its own airports and its own FBOs, and the aircraft that suits a run to Pittsburgh may not be the same aircraft that suits a run to New York.
Who we work with
Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them. Wyvern is an independent third-party aviation safety organization. It audits how brokers work and keeps a database of operator safety records, and holding that membership means our own practices are audited too. Nothing reaches your inbox until we have confirmed the operator’s certification, looked at their safety and incident history, and checked that the pilots are experienced and current on the aircraft type you will be flying on.
We work with FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft. Part 135 is the FAA’s set of rules for on-demand, for-hire charter, and it carries stricter operating, crew, and insurance requirements than FAR Part 91, the rules for private, non-commercial flying that cannot be sold as charter. When your total passenger count outgrows a heavy jet and the group consists of more than nineteen passengers, the aircraft required would fall into regional airliner, or airliner-size. These trips would no longer fall under the FAR Part 135 standards but possibly operate under FAR Part 121 or foreign equivalent standards. Part 121 and equivalent generally carry stricter crew and operating requirements than FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135.
We are also a member of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
